Every food we cover — when babies can eat it

101 pages · Updated 2026-08-07 · Free · No sign-up

Emergency? Call 911 now if your baby is choking and can't cry or cough, is struggling to breathe, or has swelling of the face, lips or tongue after eating. Don't wait to see if it settles. This tool is general guidance from the AAP and CDC — not medical advice, and not a substitute for your pediatrician.

Every food in our guide, with a page each. The introduction age, the hard rules, the serving form and the allergen guidance on each page are transcribed from the AAP and CDC pages cited on it — never inferred, and never copied from another food. Where a source doesn't name a food individually, its page says so and says which category rule we're applying.

A food that isn't here isn't a food we have a sourced answer for. "Not listed" never means "safe" — ask your pediatrician.
